A redevelopment of the existing hospital into a “state of the art” facility that fully utilises the natural assets of the hospital’s sweeping river views. A design brief was formulated to include the integration of the Theatre and Day Surgery to reduce operating costs and the licensing requirements of the Department of Health Western Australia. The final redevelopment comprise of the addition of a day surgery ward with a private recovery room, new private procedure rooms, 310 bed medical ward, 2 operating theatres, staff training facilities and a café in the main foyer.
