Innovate South Australia is a small government agency who recently relocated. The design brief was to create a space to showcase the organization as a forward thinking, progressive and innovative company. Amidst the agency’s corporate rebrand - Hames Sharley had a blank canvass to explore innovative colours through decals and perspex screens. A slick and contemporary office space decorated with a black and white background and use of vibrant colour accents of blue and green was created. The concept of communication and ‘transparency’ was a theme integrated throughout the fitout. This was highlighted through the extensive use of glass walls at the entry and a circular window through to the kitchen and office area, allowing visitors to appreciate this inner workings of the organization. To cater for the agency’s nature of work, open space planning was also essential to allow employees to conduct workshops, tutorials and in-house events.
