Royal Copenhagen

Royal Copenhagen is a national franchised ice cream company selling top quality ice cream
and associated products. Hames Sharley was commissioned to develop a concept for their
new store located on the busy cafe strip in Henley Beach. The design focused on creating an
upmarket ice cream/dessert store that would attract and cater for consumers all year round.
Building on the strong corporate branding from their Glenelg store, the concept design for the
‘dessert cafe’ incorporated vibrant colour accents, designer lighting elements and
contemporary artwork. Together, these elements added definition to the minimal space
available, enhancing the experience and creating a depth to the overall design.
