Hames Sharley is taking action on climate change by offsetting all carbon emissions from air travel by supporting the Tasmanian Native Forest Protection Project.

Last quarter, Hames Sharley offset 113 tonnes of carbon through international and domestic air travel undertaken.

Working with Climate Friendly, the Tasmanian Native Forest Protection Project involves the protection of large tracts of privately owned land in the Tasmanian Central Highlands. The land is degraded native forest which has been logged in the past and – in the absence of carbon revenue – would continue to be either logged or cleared for agriculture in the future. A video on this project can be viewed here.

Hames Sharley is one of Australia’s leading design firms and is committed to designing sustainable built environments.
