Enex100 is a unique mixed-use development unlike any other commercial centre in the Perth CBD. Comprising three levels of retail, it is linked to the 24-storey commercial building ‘100 St Georges Terrace’, providing an important pedestrian link between the retail and commercial precincts of Hay Street Mall, St Georges Terrace and the William Street train station. Hames Sharley conducted extensive research that influenced the design in a way that translated market opportunities for the central site into a stimulating built form. On the Hay Street level, generous internal shopping malls with retail outlets featuring four metre high shop fronts are utilised to create a stylish and contemporary space allowing retailers to increase their exposure via their window displays. The upper level ‘restaurant court’ is as a cluster of separate upmarket eateries and seating areas. With natural light entering from the Hay Street Mall and above, it creates an inviting impression. Consumers are enticed to travel up the escalator and experience a more interactive environment where they are encouraged to sit down and eat. Attracting high-profile retailers, Enex100 brings a new level of style to the city incorporating fashion, entertainment and food.
