National design practice Hames Sharley has appointed Stephen Moorcroft as a Principal working within the Workplace portfolio in its Western Australian studio.

Stephen brings to Hames Sharley over two decades of experience in senior positions in London, Sydney and Perth. Over the course of his career, he has contributed to over 400,000sqm of built workspace, across a wide variety of industries including aviation, defence, education, engineering, finance, health, insurance, legal, retail, resource and technology.

He is a firm believer that the physical workplace can transform the culture and performance of an organisation and has applied his knowledge and experience across the UK, Europe and Australia, where his client experience includes Arup, Chevron, the Department of Finance, EY, iag, Jones Day, KPMG, Macquarie, Morgan Stanley, Rio Tinto, Wesfarmers, Woodside and the University of Western Australia.

Stephen’s appointment strengthens Hames Sharley’s capacity to undertake major commercial fit-out and refurbishment projects that embody corporate culture and help clients to achieve their organisational objectives. It is an area of design that is constantly-evolving and he is recognised for being able to understand the unique nature of every client, their people and vision of success. Stephen has a passion for client relationship management, strategic and functional briefing, workplace analysis and spatial planning.

Brook McGowan, Western Australia’s Studio Director describes Mr Moorcroft as an exceptional design professional with a passion for the workplace sector.

Stephen Moorcroft said that his new role at Hames Sharley will reinforce a Workplace portfolio that has seen considerable growth in recent years.
