The award was announced at an industry dinner in Perth, attended by over 250 members of the parking industry on Thursday, 10 November, and Hames Sharley are delighted that the collaborative efforts of the WA studio and the City of Joondalup have led to such a successful outcome.

In presenting the award the judges commented:

“This is a spectacular car park built at an affordable cost. There has been tremendous thought given to functional design and the customer experience. Overall facade design is attractive and in harmony with the neighbourhood, and access/egress is provided from a number of directions. Overall, this is an extremely impressive facility and a fine example of how Parking can provide a positive outcome for the community. Thanks to the City of Joondalup for its leadership and contribution. “

“This facility was well designed and thoughtful from the project’s inception. Design, aesthetics, and functionality play well together, combined with the patron experience, result in an effective, efficient, and well-placed community resource.”
