Hames Sharley’s latest regional shopping centre redevelopment had its first phase grand unveiling on Thursday 23rd of August as the Vicinity Centre’s Midland Gate Shopping Centre expansion opened its doors to the public in Western Australia. Stage 1 of the project includes a new Coles supermarket, specialty shops, basement and roof deck car parking.

The event to mark the end of a 17 months of site and 8 years of design and planning was attended by Hames Sharley design team, as the new tenants of Midland Gate cut the ribbon.

“At Midland Gate, we have created a project that was true to the area. Giving the community a space that they can identify with and as such we have received plenty of positive public feedback” Project Architect, Andy Ong said.

“The design has successfully responded to Vicinity Centre’s three project pillars; home is where the heart is, rich with heritage and discerning yet down to earth”.

The project now progresses to the second stage opening in November with final completion scheduled for March 2019.
