The construction of the new Out Patient Service Building at Caboolture Hospital has been completed. This milestone represents the completion of phase one of this major project that encompasses a major upgrade to the hospital’s Emergency Department.

Karl De Beer, Associate Director at Hames Sharley said: “The expansion of the Caboolture Hospital Emergency Department is part of the hospital’s Health Services Strategy that we are currently working towards.”

The new Specialised Out Patients Department building caters for a total of 30 consulting spaces of which ten are dedicated to special use. These spaces are supported by offices, dual waiting areas, an ambulatory consult area and ancillary spaces.

The building has been planned with a focus on retaining flexibility without limiting the functionality of the various clinical consulting spaces. The main entry via an airlock leads directly to the reception area which is flanked by dual waiting areas. These waiting areas provide a nominal level of segregation and options for the patient to use depending on the nature of their visit.
