Coming off the back of the successful multi-award-winning Australis project for Adventist Care, Hames Sharley is set to bring their expertise and skills in Seniors Living to another large-scale project, this time in Perth’s Western Suburbs.

The Perth Studio last month was appointed by Built Constructions as lead Architect for the design and construction of the historic Wearne Cottesloe site, bringing Curtin Heritage Living’s vision to life. While the Wearne name will be retained for all heritage buildings on the site, the retirement living development will be named Waterfront Cottesloe and the residential aged care development will be called Marine Views Cottesloe.

Led by Associate Director, Gary Mackintosh and Interior Designer, Charlotte Kennedy, the design will focus on the specific needs and tastes of residents, with understated luxury being a key element.

“We are committed to creating places and buildings that will inspire and delight residents and visitors. The creative value of a building or place evolves from a unique shared vision that provides the foundation of every project,” says Gary.

Stage 1 of the larger $140 million development will provide a high-end resort-style facility with stunning views of the Indian Ocean. “We are so excited to help bring this project to life. It is set to become the benchmark for Seniors Living in Perth,” Gary reports.

The construction phase will begin in the second half of 2020.
