Belmont Grandstand Redevelopment

Hames Sharley was engaged by Perth Racing to undertake the concept design of major modifications to their grandstand and stall facilities at Belmont Racecourse. These modifications will dramatically improve the race-day experience of both the members and the general public and will provide Perth Racing with A-grade function facilities to improve their income stream. The redevelopment of the Belmont grandstand will benefit and enhance the proposed development of the entire Burswood peninsula.

During the design process, Hames Sharley worked with the Perth Racing committee and members to develop the design that provides maximum value for the racing industry. Staging of the construction process during the offseason was a major consideration for the design team, however Hames Sharley’s vast experience in complex retail development projects assisted in creating a functional and workable solution.
