Iain Stewart, Associate Director, Hames Sharley

Iain brings to Hames Sharley international experience gained as an architect in South Africa and as a Director of Batley Partners Architects in the Middle East. In South Africa, Iain led the design for numerous significant museum and cultural projects completed in a politically sensitive context. Working in South Africa and in the Middle East, Iain’s experience has evolved across the portfolios of urban design, retail, residential, mixed use and commercial office projects, including the lead design and project roles for the completion of a Grade A high rise office tower on the Corniche in Jeddah, KSA.

At Hames Sharley, Iain has led the design and masterplanning for mixed use commercial, residential and retail oriented projects including Forrest Chase in Perth for ISPT, Broadway Shopping Centre for Perron Group and Mirvac, Indooroopilly Development Framework and Keating Park Residential for Eureka, AGCSC and AMPC, and Marrickville and Macquarie Shopping Centres for AMPC. Most recently Iain has been engaged on the Stage 1 realisation of the Australian Museum Masterplan.
