James Edwards, Fellow, Hames Sharley

James has a passion for design and a deep knowledge of the tertiary and research project sectors. He has been responsible for the award-winning Biomedical Research Facility for the University of Western Australia and two new facilities for the Harry Perkins Institute of Medical Research, one on the QEII Medical Centre campus and the second on the site of the new Fiona Stanley Hospital.

James is a key player on sustainability initiatives for Hames Sharley and is a past member of the WA Property Council’s Sustainability Committee, and past Board Member of the UDIA EnviroDevelopment Management Board. He travels widely to assess current national and world best practice in university and research buildings and regularly presents at conferences. James is an excellent communicator with a keen eye for detail and design innovation.
