Hames Sharley was invited to collaborate with McDonald Jones Architects to design the interior spaces of Aspire Clubhouse for the residents of Stockland’s Aspire Living over 55’s village in Calleya.

Working in harmony with MJA, we developed a design that reflects the natural environment and surroundings of the area in order to create interior spaces that are of the place and celebrate the Western Australian lifestyle.

The design addressed the brief of the clubhouse as being a place that contributes to cultivating a strong sense of community. This was achieved through the development of spaces that are relaxed, friendly and invigorating, suiting discerning residents who also appreciate a sense of familiarity.

Building on Hames Sharley’s strong understanding of the aged care and retirement sectors, the outcome is a design that addresses the needs and desires of the residents in regards to functionality and comfort whilst encouraging a connection with both the outdoors and with each other.
