Rocky Bay Belmont will become a world-leading community-integrated hub to respond to the changing needs of people living with disability and neurodiversity in Western Australia.

The new centre will be located on Abernethy Road in the City of Belmont, just four minutes from the local Civic Centre at Ruth Faulkner Park. The campus-style facility co-locates administration, a clinical hub, early learning centre, paediatrics hub, and community and conference training amenities, all oriented around a beautiful ‘Green Oasis’ comprising integrated gardens, plantings and leafy landscapes.

The centre aims to set a new benchmark for accessible and inclusive design, with a strong consideration for neurodiverse users. Central to the masterplan is the connection between sanctuary, health and wellbeing, with an immersive ‘Building in the Park’ design that draws the natural world in at every opportunity.

For example, a light-filled central atrium features a spiral ramp that connects all floors, with purposeful aspects to surrounding greenery. The overall vision creates a safe place that is open and welcoming to the community, while offering visitors protection and security from the main street.

This design enables the architecture to unfold organically, providing a peaceful backdrop that enhances the support Rocky Bay offers its customers, enriching their lives through a thoughtful connection to nature.
