Niall Browne, Senior Associate, Hames Sharley

Niall has over 20 years of experience in architecture and urban design in Ireland, the UK and Australia. Niall worked in Dublin and London before moving to Sydney to work on the Walsh Bay Wharf re-development. Relocating to Perth, Niall joined Mirvac Design in 2002 at Associate level. Niall was also WA State New Business Manager responsible for design and master-planning of new projects and potential acquisitions for WA and across the country. Niall left Mirvac Design in March 2011 to join Chris Maher and the team at Studio 53 and subsequently is now working with Chris at Hames Sharley. Niall’s experience has enabled him to combine his creative talents and commitment to design excellence with the ability to deliver achievable and practical outcomes.

Niall has worked on many master-plans developing the early concept plan and then building up layers of detail at the precinct and parcel level. This finer grain design is focused on place creation and the character of neighbourhoods in parallel with testing real development potential and opportunities for height, massing improved yield and parking capacity. This is an iterative approach which re-informs the Masterplan and ensures the final design is both respectful of development realities while aspirational for future opportunities. Niall is a skilled illustrator and will bring vibrancy and character to the communication graphics.
